Startup: Building a 4-Person Core Engineering Team, All Direct Hires
Backend, Frontend, QA, and AI Engineer — four permanent roles matched from the Talent Ecosystem in parallel.
The Challenge
V.X's solo founding engineer could no longer carry the product alone and needed to build out a core team: a Backend Engineer, a Frontend Engineer, a QA Engineer, and an AI Engineer to ship a new generative-AI feature. As a five-person company with no in-house recruiter, V.X ran four weeks of general job-board postings for all four roles at once. It drew mostly web-agency generalists and, for the AI role, candidates whose 'AI experience' was limited to prompt engineering - nobody V.X could confidently vet at the depth each role needed.
The Solution
V.X needed four different hires it couldn't itself evaluate at the depth required, on a timeline that ruled out running four separate searches back to back. GTEMAS matched candidates for all four roles in parallel from the Talent Ecosystem, each with a verified Skill Profile scoring the exact skill the role needed. V.X interviewed 2-3 pre-matched candidates per role and made every final call themselves. Onboarding: GTEMAS supported offer negotiation and the transition for each hire, then stepped back - all four joined V.X's own team and payroll directly.
Impact & Achievements
V.X's generative-AI feature reached beta within two months of the team being complete. V.X's founder noted the value was running all four searches in parallel rather than sequentially: each candidate arrived already assessed on the exact skill the role needed, so the interviews tested team fit, not baseline competence - a level of technical vetting a five-person company could not have run on its own, four times over.
