Product & Design Vietnam (Remote/Hybrid) (Remote) Contract
Position Summary
You own design end-to-end: from problem framing to implementation-ready UI. At the Middle level, you execute high-quality UI and lightweight user research within an established design system. At the Senior level, you also shape requirements directly with Product before a spec is final, own and evolve the design system, and validate decisions through structured user research.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI using Figma.
- Conduct or synthesize user research (interviews, usability tests) to validate design decisions before build.
- Own and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency and reusability across products.
- Partner directly with Product Managers to shape requirements, not just execute a finished spec.
- Prototype and iterate quickly, balancing ideal UX against engineering feasibility and timeline.
- Hand off implementation-ready specs to engineering and review the delivered UI for fidelity.
- (Senior) Own the design system architecture and lead structured user research that shapes the roadmap itself.
Qualifications
- English: fluent with good verbal communication - presents design rationale and research findings directly to international stakeholders, no translation layer needed.
- 3+ years (Middle) to 6+ years (Senior) of Product/UX Design experience, with a strong portfolio required.
- Deep Figma proficiency, including auto-layout, components, and interactive prototyping.
- Working understanding of HTML/CSS constraints to design interfaces engineers can actually build.
- Comfortable running lightweight user research and translating findings directly into design decisions.
- AI-assisted design as daily practice: uses AI tools to speed up exploration and mockup iteration, without skipping user validation.
- (Senior) Experience owning or building a design system from scratch, and leading research that changes roadmap direction.
