The Challenge

S.A was crashing during major sports events. Their legacy PHP backend couldn't handle the concurrency. Additionally, user retention was low because the recommendation engine was generic.

System crashes at >100k concurrent users.
High CDN costs due to poor optimization.

The Solution

GTEMAS deployed a team of Go (Golang) experts. We rewrote the core session management and API layer in Go for high concurrency. We optimized the transcoding pipeline using AWS MediaConvert to reduce file sizes without quality loss. We also deployed a personalized recommendation microservice.

Architectural Strategy

Microservices using gRPC for low-latency internal comms. Multi-CDN strategy to optimize delivery costs.
