Healthcare: HIPAA-Compliant Telehealth MVP in 4 Months
AI-native delivery to meet urgent patient demand.
The Challenge
H.C was mid-fundraise for its Series B, and investors had made a working virtual-care channel with real usage data a condition of closing, not a slide in the deck. That gave H.C a single quarter to get a telemedicine platform live before the round closed. The challenge was speed plus compliance: building video chat is straightforward, making it HIPAA-compliant and secure under a hard, fundraise-driven deadline is not. They needed a partner who could take full ownership from spec to launch.
The Solution
GTEMAS took full ownership of the build, on FastDX, our AI-native delivery pipeline. AI accelerated the repetitive work: boilerplate CRUD services, test scaffolding, and HIPAA audit-log wiring, while our engineers from the Talent Ecosystem focused on the parts that needed judgment: encryption architecture, the WebRTC signaling layer, and compliance review. Every AI-generated component went through senior engineer review before merge. Video: WebRTC for peer-to-peer streaming with a Twilio fallback for poor connections. Security: End-to-end encryption and role-based access control, with data encrypted at rest.
Architectural Strategy
Microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), with dedicated signaling servers for video.
Impact & Achievements
The platform supported several thousand consults in its first month live. H.C used the delivered platform and its usage data as part of their Series B fundraising conversations.
Concept to live launch
Independent third-party HIPAA audit
Measured during first-month demand spikes
